Treating Spider Veins
Call Texas Dermatology and Laser Specialists for laser vein removal and treatment for broken capillaries and spider angiomas.
About Spider Veins
Small red lines near the surface of the skin, spider veins are dilated blood vessels. Spider angiomas and varicose veins are also other names for the condition. Spider veins often occur on the legs, but can also appear on the face and other parts of the body. Branched clusters of spider veins often develop, making their appearance more noticeable and bothersome for many people. Spider veins can also be painful in some cases.
Spider Vein Causes
A weakening in a vessel wall leads to spider veins and varicose veins. Other causes include aging, injuries, sun exposure, poor circulation and heredity. Weight gain and hormonal changes during pregnancy also lead to spider veins. Although rare, spider veins may also be a symptom of a vein disorder or other illness.
Laser Vein Removal
Spider veins are treated for a variety of reasons, including for aesthetics. Highly effective for removal and fading of spider veins and smaller varicose veins, laser vein removal utilizes pulses of focused light to shrink and heal blood vessels.
