WHAT IS HALO?
Halo is a laser treatment performed with the Sciton Joule laser. Each treatment is a powerful option for addressing a variety of cosmetic skin concerns.
The Halo treatment is a hybrid fractional laser and the first of its kind. By combining ablative and non-ablative lasers, patients can enjoy a more effective treatment with a reduction in downtime. The Halo laser is safe for all skin types, making it an excellent option for any patient who is looking to address the following concerns:
- Wrinkles and lines
- Sun damage and hyperpigmentation
- Enlarged pores
- Scars and acne scars
- Actinic Keratoses
Halo can be performed on nearly any area of the body.
HOW MUCH DOES HALO COST?
We can best discuss the cost of Halo treatment after your consultation with Dr. Browning or one of our other dermatologists. If you are interested in our financing options, we do accept CareCredit®.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE HALO TREATMENT?
A Halo treatment is performed in-office and is administered by one of our advanced medical providers or physicians. The treatment requires the use of a topical anesthetic and uses the CoolComfort Technology in the Sciton Joule laser keeps the skin safe and cool. You may still feel a warm sensation during treatment, and we can provide a topical ointment to minimize any discomfort if needed. You will wear safety glasses for the duration of the treatment, which typically takes about 30 minutes.
IS THERE DOWNTIME AFTER A HALO TREATMENT?
There is very little downtime after Halo treatment, as most patients are able to return to work and other activities within days of treatment. Patients are able to apply make-up within 48 hours of treatment, which can mask any minor side effects. You can expect noticeable improvements in the skin within weeks.
HOW MANY HALO TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of treatments needed to provide your desired results will vary depending on a few factors. These include your skin type, your age, and the location and severity of your particular cosmetic concerns. You may be able to choose gentler treatments over a longer period of time, or more aggressive treatments to achieve results on a shorter timeline. During your consultation, we will develop a personalized treatment plan and give you a recommendation of the ideal number of treatment sessions.
